After months of hard work, it’s time to take a breather. Spring break is a time to let loose and the place that everyone escapes to are beaches! Pack up your stuff (not that you may not have done so already!) and head to the most awesome beaches in Los Angeles.
Here is our list of the 5 breathtaking beachy areas that you can hit. A range of cool fun activities to partake in are listed as well.
1. Beaches in Malibu
This is a world-renowned place with multiple beaches that is famous for its social status. Frequently featured in numerous TV shows, beaches over here also attract some celebs from the sea! Various sightings of dolphins, seals as well as whales are seen near Malibu. Whales usually visit during Dec and Jan, and Apr and May but seals and dolphins are regulars. Leo Carrillo, Surfrider beach, El Matador State beach, Zuma beach, Paradise Cove and Point Dume / Westward Beach are some of the beaches in Malibu that you can have fun at. Some of the cool activities include surfing, exploring cave and rock formations or just taking a dip in the ocean.
2. Venice Beach
Located in Los Angeles, this recreational waterfront neighborhood is famous for its “canals, beaches and ocean front walk…” The walk features artists, mystics, vendors, and performers.
3. Santa Monica
Santa Monica beach is famous for its parks, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Some of the activities that you can partake in are cycling, stand up paddleboarding, volleyball, and swimming. The beach also provided a lush canvas for Baywatch to be filmed.
4. Hermosa Beach
Hermosa Beach is located in the South Bay region of Greater Los Angeles area and is famous for beach volleyball, paddle boarding, cycling, and bars. Hermosa pier also has inexpensive cafes and restaurants to dine in.
5. Manhattan Beach
Swimming, volleyball, cycling, surfing and bodyboarding are some of the popular activities at the Manhattan beach. The Manhattan beachfront pier provides an aquarium as well as boutiques, upscale cafes and eateries, pubs, and parks.
